Because your bike should be distinctly you.

Faserwerk roughly means "fibre works" in German, and they're also the brand that names its parts Luftschneider ("air cutter"), Handschmeichler ("hand flatterer") and Flaschengeist ("genie in a bottle"). Clearly they're having fun. Born out of the crew behind Swiss bike brand Arc8, they make carbon cockpits and finishing parts that are seriously light and seriously well thought out. Their Baslerstab MTB bar-and-stem combo, named after their hometown of Basel, weighs just 240g at a full 800mm wide and is still rated for downhill. Their Luftschneider road cockpit went into the famous GST wind tunnel and came out saving 8.8 watts of drag, at only 315g.

The range also covers carbon MTB bars, bar tape, bottle cages, GPS mounts and the little bits that tidy up a build. It's good enough that Avona fits Faserwerk cockpits to their own bikes. Light enough to make weight weenies weep, tough enough to send it, and with names that are almost as good as the parts.
