Hidden cable routing without the headaches

The Cane Creek HCR Stem is one half of the HCR (Hidden Cable Routing) system for road and gravel bikes that route brake hoses through the headset. Hoses are hidden from view but not trapped inside the stem or spacers, so installing, adjusting and packing the bike for travel stays simple.

Each stem comes with 3 HCR spacers (1 x 10mm, 2 x 5mm).

The clean look of a fully integrated cockpit, without needing to bleed your brakes every time you want to change your stem height. Your mechanic will be so impressed he overlooks the work you attempted before bringing your bike in.

Notes:

  • Chroma Studio faceplates are not compatible with the HCR stem.

How the HCR system works:

  • HCR is a system: the stem works with the Cane Creek HCR Headset and HCR spacers.
  • You need the HCR headset and HCR spacers with this stem - a standard headset won't route the hoses correctly.
  • Check your frame uses internal headset routing and an EC44 or IS52 headset before ordering.
