From gravel racing to bikepacking on lonely trails: every gravel biker wants lightweight wheels. Easy to service, 40 per cent lighter and significantly stiffer: NEWMEN is bringing the proven VONOA carbon spokes to gravel bikes for the first time with the new Advanced SL X.R.36 VONOA wheelset. The VONOA Aero spokes weigh just 2.9 grams each. As the carbon spokes are significantly more tear-resistant and stiffer than conventional steel spokes, 21 spokes per wheel provide a perfect balance of stiffness and comfort. The hub body has also been further optimised for the Advanced SL X.R.36 VONOA model, thus saving weight. Inside the FADE R CS hubs, however, is the same proven technology that has characterised NEWMEN FADE hubs for years: Low weight, convincing durability and quiet freewheel noise.

X.R.36 VONOA: Aero advantages for fast gravel use
The Advanced SL X.R.36 gets the maximum out of race gravel bikes and for high speeds on off-road tracks. The 36 millimetre high hookless carbon rim guarantees minimal air resistance and good-natured handling at the same time. In addition to first-class aerodynamics at high speeds, the 1230gr gravel wheels shine with agile handling and explosive acceleration. Aa visual highlight: the valve is completely hidden in the rim and works with a tubeless setup as well as with a classic inner tube.
