Some brands make parts. Intend makes the kind of parts you catch yourself staring at in the garage. Founded by German engineer Cornelius Kapfinger, they hand-build forks and shocks in small batches in Freiburg, Germany, with the kind of obsessive care the big brands simply can't match. Every detail has a reason, from the friction-busting pneumatic seals that give their forks a buttery, coil-like feel to adjustment knobs that look like they belong on a high-end stereo.
The range now covers upside-down and conventional forks, a rear shock, cranks, rotors, stems and small parts, and every product line sits at the pointy end of its category. Is it nerdy? Absolutely. Is it beautiful? Look at one and tell us it isn't. Intend is for riders who want the best-performing parts on their bike and want them to look like jewellery while they do it.
